Debt Assistance Programs

Are calls from the bill collectors becoming more frequent?

Are you unable to make your minimum payments?

Do you feel like you are never going to be out of debt?

If your answer was yes to any one of these questions, you should consider using a Debt Assistance Program to help. Debt Assistance Programs are sometimes referred to as Debt Relief Programs and Debt Reduction Programs. They all refer to a couple of Debt Assistance Programs available to consumers. Here is a brief explanation of the Debt Assistance Programs available to you:

Debt Consolidation (sometimes referred to as Debt Management) is one Debt Assistance Program available. With a Debt Management Program the debt assistance company negotiates with the companies you have accounts with to lower your interest rates and combine all your payments into one. In a Debt Management Program your monthly payment will be less than your monthly minimum payments combined. In a Debt Management Program You will pay off your debt faster than if you continue to make the monthly minimum payments. For more information on Debt Management click here.

Debt Settlement (sometimes referred to as Debt Negotiation) is another Debt Assistance Program available. In a Debt Negotiation Program the debt assistance company will negotiate with the companies you have accounts with to settle your debt for less than you owe. The creditors will settle for so little because they know if you file for bankruptcy they will not collect anything. In a Debt Negotiation Program your monthly payment will be significantly less than your monthly minimum payments combined. Normally about half. In a Debt Negotiation Program can will be debt free in 12 to 36 months. For more information on Debt Negotiation click here.

Eliminating the debt you have already is half the battle. To remain debt free, you will need to set up budget. A good debt assistance company will help you with that as well.

What you should know before you hire a Debt Assistance Company:

How do they charge their fees?

Most Debt Assistance Companies charge 15% of your total debt as a fee and they collect those fees upfront. Because they charge their fees upfront most of what you pay into their program for the first 12 to 18 months is taken by them in fees. This gives you almost no chance of completing the program and there is no incentive for them to do their job. In our Debt Settlement Program you pay a small enrollment fee to go on the program, then the bulk of our fee is based on the amount forgiven by your creditors, in other words the amount we save you. We only collect the fee once a settlement has been reached. This allows you to start saving for settlements right away and allows you to get out of debt much faster.

Not all Debt Assistance Companies are the same. If you are to the point where you owe thousands of dollars in unsecured debt and you can no longer afford your payments, you may want to turn to our Debt Settlement Program for relief.
